hi soumya,
i am into technical analysis from quite some time...................but am very new to fibotrader...........infact, have been using it for almost a month............and i religiously follow all your posts.......which immensly helps me to better my understanding of fibotrader..........
fibotrader has a good collection of indicators.........very impressive for something absolutely free...........i want to contruct 3 new indicators...............

1. A MOVING AVERAGE CHANNEL (10 DAY SIMPLE MOVING AVERAGE OF THE HIGHS AND 8 DAY SIMPLE MOVING AVERAGE OF THE LOWS) AND I WANT IT TO BE EMBEDDED IN THE PRICE CHART.

2. 10 DAY SIMPLE MOVING AVERAGE OF THE 28 DAY MOMENTUM.

3 10 DAY SIMPLE MOVING AVERAGE OF THE ADX.

I use EOD data files and am into short term swing trading.............

please consider me a layman and write in detail about the process to get the above three indicators constucted.

Just a clarification. What do you mean "copy the Main file and overwrite it to fibo trade--data folder.

Are you asking to copy the file and paste it in the programfiles-fibo trader-data folder. Over write meaning should this be written over the main file that already exists in the data folder. if yes how?

The file in the data folder are MS access format files while your uploads are rar files.

Could you pls explain the process.

it is not possible at this moment bcoz in Fibotrader there is no option in moving average property to select Open,High or Low as a base data other than close.

first plot Momentim indicator->set the period 28->right click on the Momentum indicator->add moving average

there is a Main file of Fibotrader itself in the data folder. just overwrite it with my Main file.

I have gone through your first post clearly. My problem is your main file is in rar format and therefor it is not overwriting the main file(dbf) in the data folder. It is just copying as a additional file in that folder and is not getting reflected when i open fibotrader. I also tried to copy your main, quote and script file to fibotrader-data folder and delete the main,quote files there maually. But they are not getting deleted(they reappear after deletion)

Kindly enlighten if i have missed something

yes u have missed one thing - COMMON SENSE
first unrar it then copy to the data folder..

Hi Soumya
I am unable to update intraday data in my data base file. When i update everything works fine . But when i open the chart it is not visible and moreover it is not updated in intraday database file. can u help me. I am getting the ieod data from bse-nse 2005 yahoo group.

Hi Kalyan,

In one line I will answer all three of your questions:

The support you are looking for is POOR in FiboTrader.

You will have to depend on somebody like Soumya or Fibotrader. Even support available on website is not much useful. There are many features available in other software like AmiBroker, MS etc. but are not in Fibo. So, even if the software is free you are BOUND to somebody for help.
