sorry no idea. only Robert can throw some light on it. off topic: the indicator RAVI is rising means the stock is in a trending phase i.e. either it is rising or falling. and when RAVI is falling it only implies the underlying stock is in a trading phase. i think SAR is much more dependable than ADX & RAVI. i attach Satyam's chart as an example. thanks, soumya Last edited by soumya_b; 17th January 2008 at 12:33 AM. |

Hi! Fibotrader,
Could you please refer to post 238 & 239 at the following link. http://www.traderji.com/technical-an...alysis-12.html There seems to be some problem with the RAVI indicator. Would be grateful if you could please look into the same and revert. Thanks & regards, Amit |

Thanks for your reply and for looking into the problem. There seems to a problem with the RAVI indicator that you download from Fibotrader. I can't remember now whether the RAVI came inbuilt with Fibotrader or I downloaded it using the "More from internet" function. Please have a look at the link that I have posted in the earlier post addressed to Fibotrader. Will definitely look at the SAR indicator in due course of time. Thanks for sharing the same. Thanks as always, Amit |

Hi! Soumya,
Are you referring to just the The Parabolic SAR or the Modification of the Parabolic SAR by Dennis Meyers. Thanks, Amit |

could u find any difference .Fibotrader uses Absolute function, as a result the indicator doesn't show any negative value. if u want it will show negative value : > select the indicator > right click > show script > just delete ABS from the last line. thanks Last edited by soumya_b; 17th January 2008 at 12:33 AM. |

2) Modification of the Parabolic SAR by Dennis Meyers. A position change only occurs if the price exceeds / fells of the stop level by a given value, not only if the price crosses the stop level. Got the 2nd one from "More from Internet" under Add Indicator Cheers, Amit |

Hi soumya_b,
I have downloaded the fibotrader software. But the datafiles you uploaded in the ********** is not accessible for me. (I am having a static IP address for DSL internet). ********** says that i have exceeded the download limit for free user and asks me to wait for 45 minutes to start download). Can you do me a favor by sending the EOD data for NSE (which you have uploaded in **********) to sushjeet@eim.ae ? Thanks in advance. |
