Hi Soumya,
Thanks for your initiative and efforts which has been of great help!! I downloaded Fibotrader on 1st Sept and the date files till 31st Aug as per your attachments. It was working fine and I started downloading EOD files from 1st Sept from bse-nse 2005 yahoo groups. Once imported, for some reason, the open prices were not accurate. I thought it is better to use the EOD files that you post in the data thread. I overwrote the Quotes_0 file and the data till 30th May is displayed fine in fibotrader. However, once i imported data from 31st May to 4th Aug, the data did not show right in fibotrader. I am attaching a chart for your reference. It appears that I have done something wrong and I am not able to figure out. I appreciate your help!! Regards Venkat |

Hi Fibotrader/Soumya,
I have downloaded Fibotrader version 3.1.13 and installed (fresh installation, not upgrading the older version). As per the web page it is supposed to function as a full version for 10 days and then revert to Free version. But right from the first run it is starting in Free Version (Actually there are three options: (i) Free version, (ii) Enter activation code and (iii) Visit shop). As I have no activation code I have to start in Free version. I have NOT tampered with the system date. Why I am not able to run it in full version? The charts I draw are shown with a label Age:91 days. I have installed the software just a couple of days back, how can the charts be 3 months old? Can you help? -Anant Last edited by asnavale; 18th September 2006 at 09:27 PM. Reason: spelling error |

Then I opened one EOD file of bse-nse2005 group (data for one day), changed all columns to n/a except the ticker and name columns. When I imported this file with QuoteMan there was surprise!! All the company names were correctly replaced. Infosys Technology was Symbol: INFOSYSTCH, name: INFOSYS TECHNOLOGIES LTD. I could verify this by checking the symbol details in Fibo explorer. How this replacement of company name took place? Earlier it did not happen when the full data was imported. By blocking all but ticker and name columns the replacement takes place! Any explanation? -Anant |

But what about the age of chart? Right now I have one chart labelled 4 days old, one 3 days old and another 40 days old. Fibo 3.1.13 is definitely not 40 days old, so how can chart be 40 days old? Any explanation? Thanks -Anant |
