Hi Soumya,

Thanks for your help!!!

It got rid of the error, but fibotrader is still getting stuck in the messages window while launching and can not start completely.

I again reinstalled fibotrader, overwrote the scripts folder that you have uploaded, but still no success.

reinstall Fibotrader in a different partition of your hdd.
what is your system configaration?

hi soumya,
i hv installed fibo. i would like to know from which site shld i import eod data for the nse stocks. ( i have been importing it from the nse archieves and i find that the data doesnt get updated or that fibo shows a different date.) i need some guidance n help to get this resolved.

Some members here have posted utilities(DataExtractor etc.) which can fetch realtime intraday data.
Can such a utility be integrated with the trial v of fibotrader? Soumya_b and others pls throw light.

I installed fibo to other drive but it still hangs up and I need to kill it.

Configuration:
1. Windows XP
2. 512 MB RAM
3. Broadband connection

Hope config is not a bottleneck

Thanks for your guidance and help.The EOD data is now correctly reflected in FIBO. One query....(( IS THIS THE ONLY WAY TO UPDATE THE EOD DATA )) The data available at other places wont work ?

Hi Soumya,

Few queries:

1. Lets say I draw a trend line and next day the stock has breached it, is there anyway that you can find out which stock breached it? by scanning or someway?

2. How to run the scripts? Is there anyway I can find the stocks (by filter or by scripts), whose volumes increased in a day or two than the average volume or before 2 days volumes?

Dear Soumya,

I really appreciate the selfless service you are providing to the FIBO community. I have recently installed the software and have come to conclusion that in certain respect it is more advanced than AB.

However, the problem of data heavy always remains which slows down processing. I had originally installed Quote_0 file but had to delete all the BSE and Futures data to improve the data handling and settled with only the NSE data.

Now I would like to load the BSE data again. Is there any way I could get the BSE EOD for last 10 years only to save memory. Also please advise if the folders could be split to improve processing time. I have the original Quote_0 but this will change the NSE data also which has since been updated.
