Soumya thanks a ton for your reply. No problem at all... there's always one thing available at a premium that's time...
Yes I realized that 'CrossesUp($Closebar,$13ema)' is actually a superflouous condition. I removed it and checked for the buy signals generated, no changed signals are given by the template. So that's it. I'll try creating another template as per the new system Karthik described in the same 'TA Experiments' thread and share that here (in a day or two). |

Hi Sarath / Soumya
One small observation . I think the original trading system was saying 9 day ema of the 13 day ema . Sarath if I am not wrong what you have set up is only the 9 day ema . Let me know if my understanding is corect ? Regards Hari |

Hi Sarath and Soumya,
I added this EMA system to fibotrader CrossesUp ($13ema, $signalline) and I also tried with CrossesUp ( $signalline, $13ema), but both show the same results. Maybe I am setting the Buy signal incorrectly. I added the buy signal using assistant with type - indicator crossed with 1 indicator crossing the other one for the first one. Then I changed this script manually to test for the other condition, but no difference. I also checked for space characters between two parameters for CrossesUp(). Could you please check and if I am doing it in wrong way, pls. let me know how to do it correctly. TIA, Amit |

Thanks for the clarification . It took some time of going back to RTFM to understand that your charts were right indeed . Thanks for the help I have a different question . I try to use this on a filter . (i.e) try to find all stocks which have a buy signal based on this template . I get an error saying Missing data . any ideas on how I can run this as a filter ? Thanks Regards Hari |

First of all my sincere appreciation for your excellent work and prompt help. As suggested by the Fibotrader helpdesk I reloaded the MDAC and JET components (which were uptodate anyway), to no avail and continued frustration. So finally I chaged back to my old Windows 2000, and Fibotrader installed and was up and running without a hitch. Since then I have been getting used to it and getting to like it a lot. Even so, I wonder if other Win XP SP2 users are able to use Fibotrader without any similar problem and if so how. Anyway I am happy to have come on board. So steam on and full away! Best Regards StockEye |

Hi
Thanks for the reply . I figured out there are 2 places where the filter for trading system is present . The one present under preconditions does not work and gives an error saying data missing. If I add the condition for Trading System present under indicators everything works fine . Thanks a lot Regards Hari |
