Its a good suggestion. but to filter the NSE Data we need to do all that HTML Scraping and then sometimes NSE Site is either Slow or Down.

Yahoo (NSE RealTime) is quite fast and provides 1 minute data (which I feel is Quite Sufficient).

But there are some limitations too as far as data accuracy sometimes.

Neverthless, Lets see where all it goes.

Dear Satya,

congrats for the new project. it's going to even more popular than the DataExtractor. all the best.

i have a few thoughts, you can say, feature requests.

1) a facility to save the snap-shot as a text file.

2) yahoo also gives some fundamental data like eps. they also may be included.

3) facility to add a column of data, like sector. if we can sort on this column, we will get sectorial view of price performance.

4) facility to make some simple calculations & display like Day's position 100*(Last-LOw)/(High-Low), volatility (DayHigh/DayLow ratio, DayHigh/Previous Close ratio etc.

do you conceive it as a portfolio tracker also? if so, you may also refer my earlier post (No: 11) at

http://www.traderji.com/software/4890-stock-management-what-features-you-like-have-2.html

thank God for having given us such a benovelent soul 'satya'.
may god bless you.

Oh Murthygaru,

I replied in detail for your queirs, but I.E screwed it up and i lost all the content.
Neverthless, in a nut shell.

At present it too high for me to aim for a Portfolio Tracker. My main concentration it to make this tool to work and save the Yahoo RT data in a usuable format for FCharts, MS, Amibroker all in Real Time.

So, at present pardon me if I cant implement these features due to time constraints and I have a family to look after too..

Also, all your blessings are the best thing I need at this juncture of my life.

BTW: My Tool take a SnapShot of the Data (like a TapeRecorder scrip wise formatted and also Raw Yahoo Data).

Well Satya

It is a great phrase and it means 'By God's grace' or 'By God's Will' and in all religion it is used in their own languages. No body will be hurt if they really understand.
