I am facing an issue while trying to run the program. The issue is attached in word doc - using Windows 2000.

Pankaj, Thanks Very Much.

Coming to the new features added, I will list one by one.

1. Added the Index View ( Top Bar). You can see major indexes Like Sensex, S&P Nifty, Mid CAP, CNX IT and CNX Banks. At present these are hard coded, in future will priovide feature where you can add your own index (if availble from Yahoo)

2. Provided BackFill from PIB. Please enter the Path of your PIB Data for example under the BackFill section of QM.Ini File. "data" is the folder where all CSV files from PIB are stored.

PIB_Path = c:\PIB\248620\Data

3. "PIB Auto Update" button will update all the scrips which are listed in the watch list. If you have currently selected List1 (which has 10 scrips), then clicking this button will update all 10 scrips with PIB data.

Note: I am working on changing some features like BackFill using PIB. I will try to provide parallel updation of data using both Yahoo and PIB, this will help those who want Futures & Options data from PIB ( Power India Bulls)

small trick: you use "PIB Manual" button to upload F&O data from PIB. this is a temporary solution, will provide better feature.

4. Optimised code to get better speed.

the first error is since you donot have Metalib.dll. You can get a trial copy from www.trading-tools.com.

Are you not getting the Yahoo RT data?

Metalib.dll is already in C:\WINNT\system32 folder of my system. Still the issue is persisting.
I am able to have yahoo real time data through yahoo real time data viewer. Facing problem with real time data extractor.

Just do this, check in the application folder, if my application is outputting a Text file e.g

RTDataBFYahoo_Jul_10_2006.txt for yesterday and
RTDataBFYahoo_Jul_11_2006.txt for today

this file gets created and data is put into it everyday. if this file is not created then some problem, otherwise, the app is extracting the data.

It could also be some problem with some system files.

regarding metalib, which version do you have?

Hi ,

I am getting the following error while starting stocktools

Run-time error '339'

component 'COMCTL32.OCX'or one of its dependencies not correctly registered : a file is missing or invalid .

I tried registering this file regsvr32 comctl32.dll

But i got this error

comctl32.dll was loaded ,but the Dllregister server entry point was not found
This file cannot be registered

OS = Winxp service pack 2

Any help greatly appreciated .

Hello All,

Here is the update on My Real Time Data Extractor.

New Features added (Major):

1. Supports Real-Time F&O data (source is Power India Bulls)
2. Auto BackFill Suporrt for Yahoo Real-Time (Cash Segment) through PIB.
3. Custom Scrip Names (like SatyamComp can be named as SATYAM)
4. MetaStock Update is through seperated DLL. This is for those who dont require using MetaStock and helps in a clean install and smooth running of the StockTools.exe.

Minor Changes
1. Index Panel Viewing can be On/Off through ini, refresh time is now through ini file.
2. Left Alignment for all numbers in the DashBoard
3. Time is Center Aligned

Iam presently testing the PIB Intreface and will release the software for all of you in a day or two.

Also, busy updating the Help File.

Please post your comments or views on this tool here. I will be glad to improve it further.
