Free Chart Screening Software
Dear All
Today I have come across new chart screening software, in which lite version is free which can screen predetermine condition to all stock. In this software one of the good features is that one can download daily bhavcopy from nse and bse or using various software available in this forum and update the latest data. i have tried stock screener lite from www.zeebob.com for some days and removed it. reasons: 1) the light version has too few screener criteria to be of any good use. they are * Moving average crossover * MACD Crossover * RSI filter * volume > specified limit i.e., whatever you see on the first screen labelled BASIC in the web site under the link http://www.zeebob.com/Stock_Screener_Lite_SS.html all other tabs are greyed in the Lite version. 2) the web site also provides free data for & upto the end of previous month, but not upto the current date. i have tried to do data conversion to fill the data upto the current date, but not successful as the data format is not a standard one. well, you may try and succeed, of course and inform all others in the forum. 3) even the data upto last month provided at the web site FREE, is for some specified stocks only ( about 200 of NSE) and not all the stocks. after some trials, i have uninstalled the software. after use for some days, i had a feeling that the paid version may be good with data of all stocks provided at the end of each day. i think this is what the software wanted you to feel after use of the lite version. you may be paying for the software and also for the data. afterall, there is nothing like a FREE LUNCH, at least not many such oppurtunities. and the deloper deserves a payment for all the troubles he has taken, may be he lives by this profession. you may use and if you have a different opinion, please post in this forum. all the best. murthymsr

Dear Murthymsr, I could make data format usable for stockscreener lite. I have used bash scripts in linux to make it. I tested it is working in stock screener lite. However lite version as you said has limitation for first screen and that two without stock split etc.
