MetaTrader vs MetaStock

Hello everyone,

I am new to these softwares, TA etc and really its hell lot of things. But i am going slowly so that i can understand everything,

1.) Now i got a problem i am not able to understand a proper difference between these two softwares MT and MS?

I didnt used MS till now but what i read it looks not much difference between them ... so anyone who uses both, please help me in understanding the difference.

2.) I used MT and enabled the real time data of NSE cash and futures in it but i am getting only few days data in it. so can anyone help me that how can integrate previous 10 years or many years of data in it ... from Yahoo finance, google or stock quote express etc.

3.) Can i get MS vs10 free from some where or should i pay for that software?

Hi

Be careful using Metastock copy's. Know how to handle your firewall properly !! It is a Reuters product and you should not joke with them.

If you use a copy, you need a separate data provider or an other person which feeds you with his data.

Now, you ask for the different between MT and MS.

If you use the original MT and MS software, you are able to compare the quality of the data feed they give.

There is a different as the data feed from MS is better compare to MT.

If you are a beginner, such details will not make any different to your trading.

Thanks for ur input ... now as u said that as a beginner it doesnt matter whether i use MS or MT ... now i had used MT with live data feed and its really ok (i didnt tried it with NSE just tried on gold and it works fine) and please tell me what u mean by quality feed? as when i used MT live data is great without any problem...

I just want previous years data and charts ... so is there any way i can get historical data for MT?

and what about Advanced GET software ... is it good for historical data as i can use MT for intraday.

Actually i got a ip of the server which feed NSE cash and future data with mcx data live feed... this ip i found on traderji only ... that what i am talking about.

bro give me a genuine advice .. i need some back data for backtesting and intraday and 1 year data for trading with all tools and indicators ... which software will be best for me as a beginner which solve my purpose ...
