I have again updated the exe with version 2.0.13. This is needed only if you want to change indices names as per your requirement This time only patch is uploaded. There is one file sqlUpdate.sql and another is ,of course EODDownloadConvert.exe ver 2.0.13 patch 2.0.13 for skydrive folder http://cid-cf8290b687b3435f.skydrive...ert|_patch.zip for Rediff http://f1mail.rediff.com/bn/brief.cg...vert_patch.zip Just place sqlUpdate in BIN folder and then run the programme. In options menu >> Database Admin>>Run critical updates This is an update to Master tables for giving names of Indices as per NSE website. Once this is run the option will be disabled. Now if you have already some Indices data in old names in eod table of NSE then that will be updated. Delete all files in Indices folder. Next time when you run updated all data will be automatically rebuilt. As for converted files in NSE/EOD /Converted folder you need to rebuild from files (if you are using files option) or from DB if using database option. Once this is done, if you want to change Indices names in future again then just go to options>>Database Admin>> NSE Indices Name Change (DB only) and run that.It will open one screen and there you can change names to your desired name. Tables affected are Indices Master table, Listedequity for NSE master table EOD table for NSE and Yield Table for NSE. Once all this is done I would advise not to tinker with DB anymore as running of programme is tied very closely with DB as it calculates volumes delivery volumes and % delivery for Indices as well, which you will not find in any other programme.Any undue change in master table might lead to problem. pk

Hi pkjha30 ,
Today morning I tried the latest version of u'r utlity.I faced an issue.I downloaded only NSE indices for last year . Issue is like this... May 30th Data ... ^CRSLDX=^NIFTYMIDCP=2593.75=^NSEI^NSED(All have value 2593.75) I don't know what is causing the problem..I had converted using MSDownloader as I was unable to convert from u'r utility using folder options.Maybe I had selected all and converted all at a time. What is the exact procedure for converting only Indices data is downloaded ? In evening I will try redownloading and converting and update you. Thanks for the utility. Raju |

There is no need to convert Indices data .It is downloaded and saved in Indices folder in MS compatible format i.e. symbol, date, ohlcv with MS compatible header . For each indices , data is stored in separate files. This is the output format for indices <ticker>,<Date>,<Open>,<High>,<Low>,<Close>,<Volum e>, CNX100,1/2/2007,3853.25,3884.85,3840.45,3878.1,0, CNX100,1/3/2007,3892.05,3899.7,3857.9,3895.15,0, CNX100,1/4/2007,3907.3,3907.3,3856.25,3864.1,0, CNX100,1/5/2007,3864.8,3885.85,3844.7,3857.55,0, CNX100,1/8/2007,3839.5,3839.5,3793.95,3808.85,0, CNX100,1/9/2007,3827.4,3837.9,3766.9,3783.2,0, CNX100,1/10/2007,3780.4,3780.4,3722.75,3729.5,0, CNX100,1/11/2007,3717.75,3823.75,3717.75,3815.1,0, CNX100,1/12/2007,3845.7,3924.15,3845.7,3919.45,0, Conversion from folder option is dicey as it may not correctly recognize the input format. pk

Thanks for pointing out the link. I did not pay closer attention to it while browsing the site. However, now the task is easy. Downloading part was over yesterday. Only adding for updation and conversion is required. There is one more thing I want you to help if possible, before next release. I you download patch for eoddlc you will fine Listedequity_bse.txt file in the zip file. Now if all stocks listed there have group and names of the constituent indices I can calculate volumes, deliverables and % deliverables for each Indices as well, just like NSE module. You can just change the extension to csv and open file in excel. Keep ScripCode ( six digit number for each stock) and Scrip ID and Group and delete the rest columns. Then If missing group is added and Indices name noted against each stock which are part of any indices(may be multiple indices separated by "," ) that will make it more useful. If anyone has such readymade list then I can try and import that list and update table. May be I am asking a little too much. If not readily available then leave it. I might find out some ways to do that . I have downloaded indices constituent list and will see how I can update records Next release by Sunday. pk
