Hi Pkjha, Download part of your software is working correctly. But conversion part is creating problem. Download part ![]() What do u mean by error log file I could not find anything like that. The conversion part creating unnecessary files.Downloader create files from 02/05/2008 to 27/05/2008.But When I use converter part it is creating files from 01/11/2007 to 27/05/2008.Files from 02/05/2008 to 27/05/2008 have valid entries other than these have invalid entries. ![]()

I understood your problem.Let me explain like this. You have downloaded IndiaVix data also, which is a separate download but data goes to same EOD_NSE table. You would have downlaoded data since November for IndiaVix alone as it cones as a single file. Now when software converts from Database it looks for date form which no conversion has taken place irrespective of number of records for that date. So you will get a single entry for those dates where you have only IndiaVix and not EOD data as EOD Data was only from 2.5.2008. This will happen also if you download indices for a period different from EOD date Range. Then you will get all Indices data for that particular date but without EOD data as that was not downloaded. The remedy is to download all data for a particular date range for NSE EOD, Delivery Data , Indices data and then IndiaVix, in this order if You download data then the software will calculate delivery details for indices also from the constituent stocks ( else you will get 0 volume for Indices) and the same will be in output file if deliveryVolume is selected. Since you have all data for same date range you will not get any single record files. As regards stockwise file with single entry, that I have tracked and when I post new patch it will be alright. Rest assured I always check, but different computers different way of behaving, that's why users need to go through their desired functions to see if that works alright. I get a full picture and need to check what is pointed out before everyone else is satisfied. that's a difficult job is one doesn't have enough time. by the way Error.log file is in BIN folder. It will record start and end time of programme and errors if any with details of where it occurred . pk

Sorry for late reply. Go to Options>>DeleteKeys>>Delete MCX Key and click it. Make sure you are connected to Internet. Similarly do it for NCDEX After that try download again. Be careful in date range as current files are not available till 11.30 PM I think but not quite sure. So default is previous day as from date and current date as to date. You can not download current day's data before 11.30Pm Current version is 2.0.10. You can download patch from the address mentioned previously. There are two files : EODDonloadConvert.exe and LISTEDEQUITY_BSE.txt files exe file you can put in your programme folder where EODDlc is installed. LISTEDEQUITY_BSE.txt file should be placed in BIN folder. This will make one menu visible in Options Options>>Stock Functions>>Update Listed Company Details(BSE). Just click that ,it will update BSE master table. This is essential step as it will insert 271 extra BSE symbols for Newly released stocks such as RPower, GMRINFRA and many more. So it is a must if you want data files for these stocks. pk

Version 2.0.10 is released.
Existing installation needs only patch files. It will also update NSE USER Header Sequence (default one) to correct order. Setup files at Rediffmail has same address. Setup files at skydrive (includes MDAC_TYP.exe) have following address. Main Setup http://qba17q.bay.livefilestore.com/...c.exe?download Patch http://qba17q.bay.livefilestore.com/...h.zip?download This addresses various issues raised by users. I have tried to solve as much as possible It works fine here. Single entry for Stockwise file is now corrected. If you go for files Conversion(as against Database Conversion) you can include Delivery Details and Delivery Percent in converted files. I would request users to go through various menus in options . It has several functions included such as if you download files for different dat ranges and miss moe data files in between that can be downloaded by one click without bothering to check missing dates. Delivery files also can be downloaded.(NSE) You can clear all data on EOD tables and then update database with files already downloaded.Thereafter is you use rebuild from DB , it will create all files with updated database. I need to write some sort of help file to explain all functions but may be I will do as and when I get feedback. Again I have to thank those who gave feedback especially casoni, rajuwaste, rajesh, avinash. Ranjitsingh for request to include delivery percent as well.I hope they continue to give feedback so as to make it function as intended. pk

Pankaj bhai namaskar,
thanks for keeping my request .I have three more request- 1) you should provide nse indices data in nse symbol format.i think presently your utility downloads indices data from y a h o o site whereas all NSEEOD AND BSEEOD are downloaded from nse and bse site . so i think it would be wise to get indices data in nse and bse symbol format also.for this i think you would need to download indices data from nse and bse site(we need bse indices data also) 2) you have already provided % of delivery as well as delivery volume data for shares listed in NSE. Will it be possible for shares listed in BSE also. 3) you should provide a help file as soon as possible so that we can use this utility to its maximum capacity. i know i am demanding a bit more. Thanks and regards. RANJITSINGH66 Last edited by RANJITSINGH66; 1st June 2008 at 01:43 PM. |

1. I am not downloading anything from Ya who Everything is from respective exchange sites.2. If you give me the nse symbols for indices I will give you details how to update database so that you can have your choice of indices names. 3.BSE Downloads of delivery data/% delivery are not easily available as csv file as in NSE.IF someone can post URL of this data or any desired data from BSE , I would be able to include it. Else one needs to write HTML parser to scrape data from webpages which ,I think , is very inefficient and unreliable way of getting data. 4.I think this is something I should do now on priority basis. May be over next weekend. I hope new version is stable. pk
