Dear Members
Version 1.25.0 of EODDownloadConvert has been uploaded to my briefcase. Link is same . Those running update will get notification automatically. This version improves mainly on FNO aspects based on feedback from members of traderji. Other bugs reported by members have been thoroughly checked and I think now it is pretty stable.Especially in default mode. Somethings are dependent on network or may other components.Sometimes NSE or BSE networks would not respond the way they should. In such case please restart after some time ensuring through browser that network is indeed up. If you use setup all required files will be downloaded to the system. They will be installed only if not found on the system or if older versions exists. As regards java in webbrowser, now msjvm is deprecated. Especially with xp2 it is not used. So if your system has msjava.dll in windows/system32 folder along with jre1.4 or 1.5 then please delete msjava.dll.It will interfere with webbrowser functionality. Help files are also bundled with setup and on installation it will be located in /help folder. It will search for EODdlcHelp.pdf first. If it is not available then it goes for EODdlcHelp.doc file. So if someone writes help file for their use , they may please name it as above and place it in /Help folder. It will be accessible from help/content menu. Links are as below:- Setup:: http://briefcase.rediff.com/bn/br/pj...DSetup.exe?d=0 Upgrade:: http://briefcase.rediff.com/bn/br/pj...pgrade.zip?d=0 Patch:: http://briefcase.rediff.com/bn/br/pj...-patch.zip?d=0 I have also asked satya to host setup file on his server for easy availability. Please remember that it is a freeware and your feedback will only help improve it. I have not much knowledge of your requirements and whatever I have is gained at this forum and from the members of traderji. pankaj

Hi ragh_ash and other member
The problem of EODDLC not being able to download BSE indices was tracked down and now it is able to dwonload bse indices. Please check it. Updated code with same version number 1.25.0 has been uploaded. Those who have already installed eoddlc, get the patch and delete application.ini found in BIN folder . The programme will recreate it. Those who are using setup , before first run , please delete application.ini The fault was in the way date is formated by bse. It seems they keep changing date format in order to avoid stress on server due to many automated programmes including , may be, this one Pankaj

Hello Pankaj
Thanks for the new version. I do have a query regarding fresh installation. I will be installing new since i had reformatted my disk drive. Is it sufficient i just install set up exe. or do i also have to run patch and update files also. Does installation require VB runtime files for the new version. "The fault was in the way date is formated by bse. It seems they keep changing date format in order to avoid stress on server due to many automated programmes including , may be, this one" Regarding above quote what if BSE changes date format again. NSE had done it last year. Can we have a part included in the code itself where the software recognises the changes in date formats automatically and selects the appropriate date format before downloading. What i suggest is can different known date formats be pre-programmed . Kindly advise. Regards Saji |

Thanks for continued interest. I will explore your idea of trying to recognise dateformat. Currently what I have done is to put the format string as part of application.ini file as BSEDATEFORMAT=m-d-yyyy under default section. If BSE changes again m-d-yyyy can be put to desired format string. So that I don't have to reprogramme it. I will think of something on the line you suggested. Regarding setup, eodsetup.exe files is enough. It contains all latest versions and dependent vb runtime files. If you had old installation intact, you could have used patch or upgrade alone and then just deleted application.ini file. That would have been enought. Setup file is meant for new or fresh installation. Pankaj |

Hello Pankaj,
I tried to install the utility and is recieving the following message. File corrupt or unreadable MSVBVM60.DLL There is a new folder created in my C drive named EOD convert with some DLL files and uninstall Icon. Tried to use the uninstall icon to uninstall , but it is not working. So how to uninstall. Deleting the folder may retain registry entries. The installation is not shown in a utility i use called Your uninstaller so i cannot use it to uninstall. No icons were created on desktop or startmenu after installation. My OS win XP with all latest updates. Did try new download of set up exe from your folder and third time time same error message is being shown. So how to proceed. Kindly advise |

As programme doesn't create any registry entry so you can safely delete folder and shortcuts. It looks like msvbm60.dll may be corrupted. I will get back as soon as I complete test. meanwhile could you check with replacing msvbm60.dll with vbruntime.exe (for vb6)setup files found on microsoft website. If others are having similar issues, do let me know. pankaj

Hello Pankaj
I already have installed latest VB runtime files when i had reinstalled windows XP last month. Looks like Niranjanam is facing same problem. Please do take your time to have a proper checkup of the setup files. Till then we can wait. I would suggest a new complete set up exe with all files updated for fresh installations of new versions. Regards Saji |
