EOD Download/ Convert from NSE and BSE

hi Pankaj
first a warm welcome back to forum after a gap of 2-3 months.
I have downloaded the latest ver of your program.I was able to download EOD of both NSE and BSE as with earlier version . However I could not download the NSE indices.In fact i could download the indices in ".csv" file without the indices name mentioned under "<ticker>".
Now I did not see any file under \indices folder.
Pls look into the matter.

Thanks for quick response. I was quite busy so I could not attend to this.
The problem was that setup was not creating folders.. Now problem is rectified.

One more thing , all data downloaded or converted are stored in DATA\NSE or DATA\BSE folder. So indices should be available in DATA\NSE\Indices.
Equities data in DATA\NSE\Equities Futures&Options will be available in DATA\NSE\FNO
For BSE it will be BSE folder under DATA.

SETUP files are available as EODSetup.exe. Patch and upgrade file(both essentially same patch being only exe file zipped) are also available at the briefcase.

Version number is 1.23.0.8 (indicates two corrections previous version number was 1.23.06

)
You can download patch. Delete Application.ini file in BIN folder and run the unzipped patch. It should not give any problem.

If you have uninstalled the program, you can use EODSetup( new one) and install again. Do not fear as it will not delete folders like DATA.

Till Sunday I am little free so do not hesitate to give feedback I will try quick response.

BTW, my briefcase is getting full so I have to fine some other home for this program as traderji's limit for file upload is much lower than this program's setup file size. May be Satya could give a helping hand

Next version is being worked out on VB Express edition which needs dot.net 2.0.Will comeback as and when release version is ready.Should be lighter and faster.

Hi

Based on a suggestion by rajneesh, I have changes the order of symbol in FNO conversion. Now symbol will come first. I hope this will be fine.

i have been able to download BSE and NSE but while downloading i see the message file not found and also failed in the advanced settings. will this affect the data or is it normal. I also get no files to convert for BSE but i see that the zip files are downloaded. how do i go about that also. i m using version 1.24.3 is this the latest?

Dear Fawazmohd

failed download indicates that there is no file for that day, ususally sat or sun and holidays. This will not affect the data. "File Not found" was an inadvertant message being displayed. This also is not relevant.

bse files come in zipped format which is unzipped by the programme for this you should have unzip.dll either in windows directory or in programme directory and duly registered. IF you search the thread, you will find where to obtain and how to register it.

Current version i.e.1.25.0 will be released on sunday. First time user should use installer which will take care of initial requirements and avoid most of the error messages.

Earlier users can simply use patch or upgrade and unzip it in programme folder.
