Hi PagenotFound,

Good Word Indeed !.I am not a IndiaBulls user. Can you guide me any trick with which I can use your software for Pivot Calculations.I have tried downloding bhavcopy from NSE and then giving path to that instead of PIB folder. It didn't work.

In windows 98 you can do this by right-clicking an empty area of your desktop and then click settings, goto advanced tab and drag the slider bar which is at 800 by 600 pixels to 1024 by 768 pixels. click OK.

Hi Pnf

The problem is not of screen resolution, I can move the window using the title bar. At the right side the screen is cutoff and I am not able to expand it at its border. Atleast enable the expansion of window at the border.

Bye

Once you select the downloaded bhavcopy .csv file using the small elipses button on the right of the "Set PP from EOD quote file" text box, remember to click the calculate button. This will calculate the pivot points and other values.

Raj,

I'll post a link to the .exe with the max button enabled, but its strange, me or anybody else who is using this util. hasn't been facing this issue. Just for affirmation, can you please post the screenshot of the your entire screen (print-screen btn.) with the application running.

Kgsirasangi,

Thank you for sending the .csv file. Hmmm, like I assumed, the bhavcopy file that you are importing into the software is not the one downloaded directly from the site, or its being downloaded using some software that is changing its ascii format to unicode. Here, download this file http://www.nseindia.com/content/hist...UG2006bhav.csv its the same as the one you sent me, but this time download it from the site and import it into the alerter. Still have probs. let me know. I'm certain it should work this time.

Regards,

pnf

Hi PNG

I think you have developed alerter on Win XP platform, so there is width problem. I have attached screenshot of full screen, with 'alerter' window slightly moved to the left, you can see its rightside is cutoff. Thanks in advance for enabling max button for me.
Today I used your alerter during trading hrs, its alerts like 'increasing volumes'
helped me to enter bombay dyeing short and I made a huge profit. Hats off to you for providing this software, as I trade mainly on Support/Res levels.

Thankyou
Raj

I downloded file from your link. But same problem persists.
I have office2000/excel2000. After downloding file, when I want to save it , it asks---this file may contain features that are not compatible with csv. Do you want to keep the workbook in this format?---options are yes --no.
I saved file alternatively with yes and then no options seperately. for both files, alerter gives same error---Invalid file. Same thing had happened when I had downloaded fron nse site. Please advise how to save downloaded file.
Thanks and regards

I think you are trying to edit the downloaded .csv file. Why you want to save it?....Use this file as it is & try....without opening it in Excel...

In alerter, we have to give path of file where nse data is located. Because of this I have to save the file and give its path in alerter. I have come across above problem while saving file. I am not editting the file.
If there is any way to use the file in alerter, without saving it, please inform how to do it.
Thanks and regards
