hi all,

today also, the screener has not selected any stocks with a good probability to move up.

it may be obvious, seeing the way stock prices moved in the last few days, inspite of some recovery in the later part of yesterday.

i thought a 'NIL' report is more informative to understand the selection process adopted by the screener than NO report at all and hense this post.

play with caution and all the best in trading.

hi gandhi and all,

The screener has NOT selected any stocks based on today's market also.
Basically, the screener looks for three days of good performance to be able to pick-up a stock. So I expect some selections from Monday onwards.

May be too conservative, but this is the way i like it to be.

Thanks for your interest.

hi all,

today also the visitors to the thread have to be content with a 'NIL' report.

the screener has initially selected just ONE stock with a potential to raise in short term. but as per present logic, unless it identifies TWO stocks, it will not give the final selection report. i feel that the present limit of TWO is too small and i intend to raise the limit to FIVE. i feel if five goods stocks could not be identified from out of about 800 stocks traded on NSE, the market is still NOT worthy of investment. my approach may be highly conservative but this is the way i like it to be. i invite knowledgeable members to express their opinion for NOT raising the limit to five, if they have any.

you may be interested in knowing the name of that stock. i will be posting the name of that stock sometime AFTER tomorrow's market. ( )if required, i may postpone my reply till sunday night also. the name of the selected stock with the reasons will provide the necessary familiarity into the selection process by the screener.

in the mean time, let us have some fun and some learning of technical analysis.

i invite all visitors to this thread to identify THE stock identified by the screener and post it in this thread. they may select upto 3 possible stocks and post them in this thread, but all selections are to be made in a single post ALONGWITH reasons for selection. for getting familiarised with the process of selection by the screener, you may visit the various posts made by me in this thread and also and the thread in the software section:

http://www.traderji.com/software/448...m-trading.html

Just for the information of new members, the screener is predominantly a technical analysis screener with a statistical approach.

the objective of this game is learning technical analysis.

all the best and the game game starts now.

pankaj,

evaluation of each stock is just by TA with indicators like MA. mACD, RSI, price-volume explosive moves and the like. instead of the investor seeing the chart and forming an opinion, the program computes and compares.

in the first phase only TA methodology adopted in the screener.

only in combining their effet, and for considering all stocks, some statistical considerations used.
