Now my idea is to develop online chart with all historical values at one place.
I have deviced my requirement in excel sheet. But dont know how to get the online/historical data. I don't want to feed he data rather want to formulate some programme/web query wherein the chart is updated by itself


Now have a look at the chart:

I have coloured some cell. But I expect that the cell to take colour by itself based on change from previous closing price.In addition to this, the cell should also display the price. The last cell for daily data should diplay current market price when the market is open and its colour should keep on changing based on price variation.

Although I have put this on my thread "morning update at 0800hrs" and sharp mind like Vikas are working on it, I think this is right place to find the solution

If you use excel sheet for what you want to do, then you can use DDE to input data into excel. What I have done for my excel application is importing real time data through DDE. Data is taken from Reuters. Though Reuters data is not free of charge. Color coding based on price is not that difficult. You just have to do conditional formatting of cells.
