hi gandhi/pkjha/satya/all

quoted from pkjha:
Regarding Help file I think plenty of help is available in the posts here you can save all the posts to text file and format as help and it will of graet help to members.
:unquote

quoted from gandhi:
My purpose was user can have immidiate access to help. Help files make clear to user the intended usage and avoid wrong usage.
:unquote

help file will be 'helpful. but as the sw is still under improvement, till the time it reaches the stability stage, we may have to take the trouble of going through the posts in the forum.

ultimately, some good soul will come forward to prepare and make available the help file. time is a major constraint for all as all developers pursue the coding endeavours out of their commitment to helping others in spite of being busy with their employment and trading.

hope all will agree.

all the best.

Hi lvgandhi

why there is astrix(*) at the end of header in your example? What is its significance for aptistock? Can you clarify? Please
Regards

Dear PKJha,
What I have reproduced is the top few lines of a file made by aptistock after importing data from flat file having format symbol, yyyymmdd, open, high, low, close, vol. I think aptistock stores imported data in this format. I don't know the reason you asked.

hi satya (srisara),
i have downloaded the de ver 2 and it works fine. GREAT MANY THANKS TO U AND OTHER FORUM MEMBERS WHO HAVE CONTRIBUTED IMMENSELY TO MAKE THIS FREE SOFTWARE A GR8 SUCCESS... WONDERFUL AND FATABULOUS TASK DONE . may u be blessed and have the strength and time to make many more developments and innovations.

While taking this opportunity to thank all the members who contributed i would like to inform that there is one small flaw when this data is extracted to aptistock. The output file created by de has the stock code in *10* characters whereas the aptistock stock codes are restricted to only *9* characters due to which there are quite a few stocks that dont get updated in aptistock. I request you to kindly look into this and suggest me some remedial action which would solve this problem. I had personally requested for the source code of this software and searched for it but couldnt locate it anywhere in this section -SOFTWARE - nse dataextractor for Fcharts. I request you to kindly post me the link where i could get this source code.

Ram,

There is no problem in sharing the code, but before that I would like to know the purpose of why you need the code.
