Hi Satya

I checked up the latest version. It works fine for NSE. Metastock and FCharts works fine.
I suggest that you provide a data folder(dataX) and output folder(outputY) with reference to installation directory or a fixed path such as C:/ NSEDATA , C:/DATA, C:/fcoutput or C:/Msoutput.Source and destination folder can be filled in accordingly. (X may be nse or BSE and Y may be FC or MS).

Proxy setting gives runtime error 424.

You can employ version number to indicate the current /latest version.

Regards
pankaj

Sir,
I am having a doubt.
Using the Dataextractor, provided, I downloaded NSE EOD datas. While Importing into FCharts,The volume value is Zero.Do I have to make any changes after the data is downloaded or the volume column does not have any significance.
Thanks.

Hi Satya,

I strongly second pkjaha30 's proposal that version no be included in the filename put-up for download. The version no. may also be indicated on the program page.

Also, I think, members who face problems with data extractor may indicate the version no. of data extractor alongwith the name of their operating system & the MS office (spreadsheet-XLS) package.

This will help everybody.

Hi Sathya,
What I wanted to ask is " When downloading EOD Data using the Extractor,in the *.csv file, I am getting the Total Traded Quantity and Value. After Importing it into FCharts, When viewing the Chart, at the top, along with Scrip name, Open, High, Low and Close values, and Change, The value for Volume is " 0". This is same for all scrips imported."

That is why, I asked should I have to make any changes to the downloaded file for incorporating Volume values.

I am new to Fcharts. So I asked what should I do to incorporate the Volume values to be visible in the Chart.

Thanks
Shan

Dear srisara,

Please accept my lots of thanks for developing such a nice utility i.e.,
"DataExtractor".

Using your software, I have :-
(i) successfully downloaded EOD data of Equities from NSE from 1994 to 2005,
(ii)successfully converted it to FChart format & imported the same to FChart.

I am uploading "1994-to-2005_EQ_BHAVCOPY_EOD_FCHART_FORMAT.zip" (about 24 MB)
file at http://www.megaupload.com/?d=H02VLKZ9
which contains EOD data of Equities from NSE from 1994 to 2005 in FChart
format which can be directly be imported in FChart. Anyone interested can
download it.

If "DataExtractor" is made open-source than I can take up the further
development of it, i.e.,

1. Downloading & Converting of Indicies, F&O of NSE
2. Downloading & Converting of Equities, Indicies, F&O of BSE
3. Converting Intrady Tick Data to FChart, Amibroker, Metastock format
4. Other requested features, if possible

Once again, three cheers to srisara.

I am also thankful to pkjha30 (http://www.traderji.com/12387-post26.html)
for providing open access to http://briefcase.rediff.com/bn/br/pjhapondy

I am also attaching "OHLC_01_min_NIFTY_30122005_fc.txt" which is one minute
Intrady data of Nifty for 30/12/2005 in FChart format.
If requested than I can post daily(after trading hours) one minute Intrady data
of Nifty here.

Wishing you all Happy & Prosperous(Trading) New Year 2006.
