Minimum configuration for charting softwares

I am planning to buy Metastock very soon and if possible Omnitrader as soon as possible. I wanted to know what is the minimum PC configuration required for running this softwares.

Since I am a Mac user, I will need to buy a Windows laptop to run this softwares. I am planning to buy a netbook using Win XP for running this softwares. Currently I am thinking more in terms of a Dell Inspiron Mini 12, which has a basic 1 GB of RAM.

Is it enough to run this softwares at optimum speeds or would a more standard laptop with more horsepower be preferable ?
