I am a newbie in the stock markets but keen on learning. I been reading Saint's posts and learning quite a lot but I am not able to get any hands on experience because my trader (Motilal Oswal) doesn't provide charts or data. I have downloaded some free charting tools and trying to draw trendline and notice patterns. But I am not able to get data for some of my stocks.
I have been researching on TA and now have a few questions that I need some clarification on.
1. As I understand once we have a charting software we need to feed data into it either by a csv file in the form of
D,T,O,H,L,C,OI
2. No one provides free real-time data and cheap real-time data is not reliable
3. The free software don't have all "major" indicators one or the other is missing
I am a bit confused with conflicting infomation I get from some places, so thought it would be a good time to consolidate (because an unrelenting bull run could cause a crash
)
I also have a couple of questions:
1. Is there any free software that can access realtime data?
2. Is there any source of free/delayed intraday data?
I am looking for free tools because I am basically going to use it for learning purposes besides I have not made any profits in 4 months of trading (because I not trading most of the time also).
Any help is greatly appreciated.
