Which is the best software..?

#3
Actually I am looking for some similar help/ guidance for a proper TA software to buy.

After surfing the web and reading this forum among others, I narrowed down to three -
1) Amibroker
2) Metastock
3) Omnitrader

I wanted to know which of the above might be most suitable for a newbie and as a investment for next few years of study.

This are some points I made, and would be grateful for more information on this -

1) Amibroker is highly recommended on this forum, but on several sites people mention that one needs programming skills to get it to work , how true is that ?

2) Metastock is quite costly but supposed to be easy for people without IT skills.

3) Omnitrader 2008 : Not sure about the price, also don't know if it is a mechanical trading software or TA software and whether we get EOD data for it in India, but what got me interested in OT was the turtle trader plugins which generate automated buy/sell signal.

Would love to know if anyone here has used Omnitrader ?

Would be grateful for any feedback.

Have you traded with Metatrader? It's very convinient platform for trading.
If we're speaking about technical analysis, I think Metastock is rather good.
