A point to note here. I was noticing a lot of people getting the "13 : type mismatch". error.

for few who have been trying Ranjits excel sheet and trying to connect to Fcharts using the instruction given by annirudh. making the following changes may help . you have to change the column identification of B for date and C for time to "C & D ". Close as " E" and volume as "F".

as seen in the attachment

12. 1st Data Row = Row of the first company  Put appropriate column names eg: A, B, C, etc for Ticker, Date, Time, etc  Select Subtract Volume  Open Feed At Startup.

Dear kumar,

As I have NO experience with FnO, I cannot give any firm answer.

However, what FCharts wants is a UNIQUE name as a ticker, price, date, time and volume if available for preparing a chart.

The UNIQUE name in this case may have to be 'fabricated' by combining underlying_security+expiry_date+option_type+strike _price.

The resultant tickers may be like:

NIFTY_03
NIFTY_03_CE_2800
NIFTY_03_PE_2800

I tried to answer more than what I know !

Dear John,

1) Open FCharts first and complete the other configuration.

2) Open the Excel sheet.

3) FCharts 'Refill List' can be done at this stage.

Whenever Excel sheet is updating, you will not be able to pick up in FCharts Live data window. You may try a few times.

Alternatively, you may set the refresh rate in the web query / web queries to a high value till the excel sheet is picked up.
