[How to import daily data from
www.nseindia.com.
Type the URL :
http://www.nse-india.com/content/historical/EQUITIES/2007/DEC/cm03DEC2007bhav.csv
(Dont forget to change the date and month, whenever you are downloading the file for a different date)
download the file.
Now open the programme and select the button "FILE"
Here select the option "Import Wizard" and select the downloaded file.
Press 'Next' Button.
Now the box opens "define fields"
In this box tick the box "More columns"
Now select the column 1-12 as per the following ;
Column 1 : TICKER Column 2 : SKIP Column 3 : OPEN Column 4: HIGH
Column 5 : LOW Column 6 : CLOSE Column 7 : SKIP Column 8: SKIP
Column 9 : VOLUME Column 10: SKIP Column 11: DMY Column 12: SKIP
Now press "Next", the file is updated. Every day file is to be downloaded and updated like this.
