iKiRETA Utility Pack ver 1.0 for windows

iKiRETA utility pack version 1.0 (public beta) for Windows (Freeware) ================================================== ======== Introduction: The pack contains DL.exe => the NSE End-of-Day bhavcopy data downloader CONV.bat => the data converter to ikireta format for plotting PLOT.bat => the graph plotting program All these programs must be run from the command line To open command line goto: Start -> Run -> Type "cmd" -> press "ok" GUI version is still in development. Linux version is also in development. Derivatives data downloader is in development. I will keep posting new developments Details: DL.exe Syntax: DL [starting_year] Example: DL 2006 Here it will download all historical data from 1-Jan-2006 till today The data will be stored in .csv format in the data folder If you use metastock you can import the data using any bhavcopy to metastock converter CONV.bat Syntax: CONV [starting_year] Example: CONV 2006 Here it will convert all data company-wise starting from 1-Jan-2006 to ikireta format The converted data will be stored in the co_data folder PLOT.bat Syntax: PLOT [Company Symbol] [start_date] [end_date] [Chart Type] Example: PLOT RNRL 1-JAN-2008 1-MAR-2008 C Here it will plot the graph of RNRL starting from 1-jan-2008 till 1-mar-2008 The start year and end year must always be in the format dd-mmm-yyyy The C stands for candlesticks The following chart types are available C => Candlesticks B => Open Bars L => Line charts Bug: In some machines, you have to press Enter 3 times to make the graph appear I dont know why this is happening but will surely do something about it in the next versions Warning: Note that, you must run conv.bat at least once, to generate the ikireta data files The ikireta data files from the co_data/ folder are fed to plot.bat I made this program into three separate utilities instead of one single program because its still in the development version. Also making them separate utilities speeds up the program execution.
