Default Downloading from Bombay and/or NSE (maybe)

I've had several requests to download prices from either the Bombay or National exchanges and have some preliminary results
(applied to a particular spreadsheet on my website).

They're here:
http://www.gummy-stuff.org/Excel/com...cal-Bombay.xls
and here
http://www.gummy-stuff.org/Excel/com...orical-NSE.xls

I'm not sure they both work in all cases, but it's worth a try, eh?

Feedback is appreciated.

I've modified the spreadsheets a wee bit
... though other changes must be made.

In any case, there's a bunch of spreadsheets that might be susceptible to downloading from BSE or NSE. They're here:

The ritual for modifying the spreadsheets is described here:

the BIG QUESTION:
Is there any advantage to downloading data from BSE or NSE as opposed to downloading from Ya-Know-Hoo (with .BO or .NS terminations to the stock symbol)?

There are over 400 spreadsheets on my website.
They ALL download from Ya-Know-Hoo.
I'd hate to think of trying to modify them.

hi gummy
you have a great website.I had visited it a couple of years back.I learned a lot from the excel sheets and explanations you have provided. Now I will download your excel sheets especially since now you have have made them for our markets(BSE/NSE)
direct dnld from BSE/NSE is preferable because we are not sure abt the accuracy of data from Ya-Know-Hoo(a good alternaive word)
Once again many many thks
pls keep up your good work and best of all *free*
with best wishes
