Please give me information to how to use this software.when i tryed to run the s/w an error message comes.is it need to download data first?

Hi Stokist,
Thanks for the utility .When I placed all files in "c:\QOD"..it started running without giving errors.Even chart was displayed.But I faced a problem when I tried to open data saved in metastock format.It did not show any chart .Kindly guide...

not sure whats going wrong, MS should display charts properly. Can you download updated version 2.3 and try again? Downlaod link is same http://quotesonDesk . 4shared . com. Sorry don't have MS so can't help lot, though I can see the MS data through Amibroker.

Hi , V FROM TCR

Please follow following steps to see charts...

1.Copy all the files in "c:\QOD"
2.Doubleclick QOD.exe
3.In right corner of u'r screen you will see an new icon , click that, a window would open.
4.Click settings menu,Check Save Quotes in ASCII/CSV Format.(Provide any directory path , e.g c:\data
5.Check Download quotes for NSE Indices.
6.Click Stock Selection, transfer stock from left pane to right pane , e.g CAIRN
Select CAIRN , click >>> , check CAIRN in right pane.
7.When maket start wait for 4-5 mins and then click Quotes .If you still don't see any
data then click DownloadAgain.
8.Now click charts, select CAIRN from left pane and select any INDEX from right pane.
9.Select Chart Type as IntraDay and press Chart button.
10.You will see charts ...

I hope this would help you in seeing charts in Market Hrs...

Thanks a ton for the software.

I downloaded and unzipped all the files -including the NSEQuotes.mdb file in the same directory - and tested the software for EOD downloads. But i am getting the error message

" not able to save the EOD downloaded file ...... (ODBC) error ... source file not found ...etc etc ." error message.

I tested downloading EOD files for the last 10 days ... Even though the software gives the above error message yet it creates another directory (within the QOD directory) with the name "NSE Bhav" where in it downloads two types of files for each day of EOD data (for the period specified by us) one is (i) bhav..CSV type and other is (ii) ...csv.eod file which is a very small file.

Dear raju,thanks for your response.When i tried to open QOD then an error comes.The screen shot of the error attaching.I am awaiting your guidence for that error.

Hi V FROM TCR ,

Where is the attachment ? If it specific to s/w then maybe Stokist would be in a position to answer to it.Regards usage yesterday i tried and was comfortable with it.But even I am having problem with using it with TA s/w (MS).With his help I will try to run it and inform if it works with MS.

Hi Friends,
Pls give me some time. I will put a small document on how to use this software. Thanks to raju for providing very helpful tips on usage to others.

If you select option "save to MS" in Setting tab, data will automatically be saved in MS format to the directory specified. Software creates sub-directory for today's date while saving MS data. This data can be used in MS.
