Default Up Coming Free Charting and Tech analysis software

Hi Guys,
I am new here. Working in automated trading softwares for a while now and i want to utilise my exp to create a charting and TA software. Along with intraday feeds (realtime, 15/30 sec, 1/5 min), backfill capability etc. I think i have the complete design nailed out in my head and just have to sit and code it. I would like to know how many people will be interested in something like this and leave Metastock or Ambibroker and shift to something new.

What kind of TA do you guys use most from these softwares?

What are the must have facilities for any such software?

I will for sure provide free software and service to people who help me in the process. Rest might be charged a very minor charge.

Regards,
Ramneek

Dear Ramneek,
This will trully be a very good venture if u can pull it off. I am new this form, in fact this is my first contribution. I hv since the last month extensively going over various TA chart soft ware, both paid & free. I am at present in office so will keep this short.
But off hand I can say that there are many chart plotting software (brouser based & downloads) on the net but most of them take some effort to set up and some need programming skills. Also the most improtant aspect that is not available on free packages ie triggers for buy & sell based on various parameters and auto down load of data. We yr software covers these two aspects it will be great.
Best of luck
Bye Khokan

Dear Friend,

Good to know that you want to develop a automated s/w. My wish list is quite large but I expect following to start with:

- Auto upload of data keeping old data intact with archival option
- Slide show of all the stock charts as per my parameters
- Auto identification of wolfe patterns (min. requirement)

I could help you with HLD if you want.

Regards

ghosh_ak34, can you tell me what are the kind of graphs which you gould recommend as must have?

also do you mean upload or download - "Auto upload of data keeping old data intact with archival option".

Also, Are guys here mostly investing personal money or someone is working in a brokerage firm as well? how about those guys? what do they like to see?

Dear Ramneek,
I meant Auto upload of data to your software and the s/w should provide an option to archive old data. I would like to see candle stick / line and bar graph. Charts with parameters of my choice. You can refer to http://www.icharts.in/charts.html for charts with parameters.

good thinking,, but obviously it will take a lot of effort and its very hard to beat some of the established software in the field, however, i am a programmer too with 10 years of programming experience, tell me in what language you are planning to write the code, and i am available if you need more hands..!! to code.

good luck,,!!
regards,
