TA Software

Not sure about the best software as I've only used Metastock, Iris Ace and Esignal. But, I've been using a software called Investar Basic 2007 ( http://www.investarindia.com/Investar/Downloads.aspx ) and it is currently available for a very low price (i.e. free hehehe

). It doesn't have all technical indicators but the most commonly used ones. In addition it has integrated Fundamental Analysis, Portfolio Management and a lot of Technical Scans (Indicator and Candlestick-based). Moreover you don't have to do manual data updates for NSE & BSE like the other software as data is automatically updated whenever you login after 6:30 pm IST.

can u write explorations and is backtesting possible? the main thing i like is they providing all the data stock/commodity/futures. its a pain getting reliable data from different sources.

Yes back testing is also possible in this software. This software is fully loaded with lot of scanners - Volume, Crossovers, Reports, Grouping, Aterting & much more.

shyaam spideriris is really not worth the money, tradeanywhere is available for free from most brokers without any monthly commitment it has most indicators but does not have scanning facility though which is the only drawback a better option is to get a plugin for Rs500/- (lots of ppl offer this) for RT data feed from PIB to metastock or Amibroker.

Price of spider iris is very high, you should consider lowering your prices.

Until & unless u will c the demo of their product how can u decide n i m not saying to buy this product, Spideriris is really not worth the money.
I think spider people r providing 5 days trial free of cost, y dont u c the demo their product.

Most of the company charges for gud services.
