Default FiboTrader - Spy in Disguise

No doubt about the rich feathures of the Software but be sure that it does not steal your important information from the PC. Off late I've been getting the message through PC-Doctor that 007 Trojan virus (spyware) is entering the Registry of Windows and trying to capture keystrokes and important password. I have brought this to the notice of Fibotrader also but having received the complete detail about the trojan they have completely stopped to communicate with me. So, be careful, unless the problem is tackled.

why do you want to just talk about fibotrader software ...and how did you come to conclusion that it is fibotrader causing you problem.

let me tell you ...any website can push trojan in to your computer ...yes,a simple website and a file hosting site like deposit file can do it.

most of the trojans are downloaded when you attempt to download something from website like ..books etc ...all this depends on website host itself .

i am 100% sure it is not at all fibotrader problem ...it could be due to your net surfing activity or due to some downloads.

anyquestion please ask

suba

No problems with fibo trader. Zonealarm reports it as completely safe. In fact it doesnt send anything outside the comp. rather it downloads data!

I have been using Fibotrader for almost a year now. I have Nod32 and there's not been a problem so far.

Amit

Whenever I start Fibotrader, my NAV will warn me with a medium risk advisory stating that the program is trying to listen to other computers...

I select the block option in NAV.. I am not sure whether this is a problem.. I allow NAV only during the time of updating..

Maybe anyone who is with a good Firewall and other antivirus softwares can give their experience and opinion on this..

JD.

Just a sidenote, no idea about Fibotrader but NOD32 is not very good at catching Trojans. One of my harddrives was destroyed after NOD32 was unable to detect a Trojan which wrecked up the boot files.Since then have been using Symantec and had no problems.
