NOD32 is an AV One needs an Antispyware too I think AVAST does both jobs reasonably well The updates are very frequent (sometimes thrice a day). Still i use a couple of (non-realtime) Anti-spys - Super AS & Adaware SE.
The new version of NAV has some protection against rootkits which i think no other AV/AS has. Regards, Kalyan.

At last a pretty good Real Time & FREE Anti-spyware - Spyware Terminator.
Has a small memory footprint, regular (unobtrusive) updates. I have been using it for last 3 mths and it has worked smoothly with AVAST with no conflict. I also got a proof of its efficacy when it blocked an Adaware (while downloading from 4shared) that AVAST had missed. A new version has recently been released (though Beta) with enhanced protection & immunization features.
