Default Traderji Toolbar version 1.0 for FireFox and Internet Explorer

Hi members

This is something I had thought of doing long back.
Finally, I could do it. But it is useful for Firefox users only.

This is Traderji tool bar. Once you install it various links in the traderji website will be directly accessible from the tool bar itself . No longer you will have to type long urls or search for favorite topics.

The list of topics are from bvpraveen's thread. Many items could not be accommodated. Some threads are listed whereas many others are left out. this is purely unintensional.

I hope people find it useful.
in case of problem, you may find this helpful ( I got it from help website)

Quote:
""My Firefox just got completely hosed up

Worst case scenario: upon restarting Firefox, it hangs with a "Firefox is still installing an extension, this may take a minute...". This means you borked it up somehow. Don't panic! A super easy way of uninstalling it without hosing the rest of your **** up is as follows:

Start » Program Files » Mozilla Firefox » Mozilla Firefox (Safe Mode)

Then go to Tools » Extensions » [right-click on your extension] » Uninstall

Restart Firefox, and it'll be gone. ""
Report the problem if any in the thread.

How to install
Download the attached zip file and unzip to a folder. It will give traderjitoolbar.xpi file.
open firefox and in the addressbar give the filepath to the traderjitoolbar.xpi file. Firefox should automatically ask for install. If first time it hangs don't worry just try to restart it. On second time follow the quoted procedure and report.

On installation toolbar will look like the attached image

For Internet Explorer

Here is traderji toolbar for IE. This is made using shareware program, hence you will find one additional button for their website at the right hand corner

The link to installer file is

http://briefcase.rediff.com/bn/br/pj...aderji.exe?d=0

Download and click on the exe file. It will automatically install the toolbar.

If any changes and features are required you may post here. I will do as much as possible.

And Do vote even if you find it wasteful exercise.

Hi Pankaj,

I installed it and looks pretty cool. Now navigating Traderji will be easier than before. Thanks for your effort.

Suggestions:

1. Hide/open the toolbar, like our conventional Windows toolbar. Currently its not possible.

2. I think we can't add/remove the links in this version. This feature will make your toolbar more adaptable to users requirements. Is it possible to do so?

Praveen.

Dear Jha;

The cooler bar is very useful & handy.
It reduces our pains to search a link.

Thanks for making it free.

Hi

It was bit delayed yet praveen's effort galvanised me to spare some time to get it right and release it.

All my efforts are available to members and others absolutely free always.
May be this thread can be made sticky so that members and guests don't have difficulty to find it .

Next I will try same for IE and opera.

Hi karthik

Thanks karthik, I wanted to do it for a long time.Such a great site we can't miss putting on toolbar.

However I would like other imp links which might have been missed by me.

There will be one for IE users for sure. I realise that IE is the main browsers for majority of users. A little wait will be worth the wait.

Hi Pankaj,

It is not necessary to unzip the .xpi file in some directory and then type the file pathe etc. Just unzip the file into the Firefox extensions directory. When you start Firefox it automatically detects the file and offers to install it. Just accept installation and that's all. It does not hang if you follow this method.

hi Anant

Thats ok .

Lay users , who may not know the nitty gritty of installing extensions, can unzip anywhere and write filepath in addressbar. others may follow what you said.

Infact traderji does not permit filetypes of xpi to be uploaded. So I zipped the xpifile(which is nothing but a zip file with xpi extension.) and uploaded it.
Else they could have just clicked on it and FF would have asked for install.

We have to respect the limitations imposed by traderji.com and upload accordingly.
