@Blackhole

Would this link be fine for what you mentioned? Is the latest date possible the one to choose? https://my.vmware.com/web/vmware/se...download_en&gsa_lang=en&c=ALL&q=vmware+player

Second question:

Is this a link to follow when doing the installation: http://www.wikihow.com/Install-VMware-and-Use-VMware-to-Install-Ubuntu

Just a quick confirmation from your side would be nice.

Take care / Dan :)
its Virtual machine which run separate virtual system or environment inside host OS which enables to install other OS.... I had used my dead laptop.. note it is as per Windows and I had installed puppy linux which carried my laptop another 6 months... all linux is performing good with firefox an open source.... My suggestion is any OS can use VM or Virtual box to load little weight OS like puppy linux or some light weight Windows which give edge of using web browser with max hardware utility...

if u r using standalone pc/laptop with client os like xp/vista/win7/8/10 then simply use vmplayer instead of vmware client or server.

If u have one one pc and u a geek kind of person then according to me vmware kind of thing in ur system is mandate, install it use multiple os play dance crash it without disturbing ur parent os and trading terminal.

Its just preference some people prefer virtualbox over vmware some prefer parralel or fusion..

for installation of os in vmplayer use image files(iso), if u do not have ISO files setup files can be converted using iso convertor sharewares freewares freely available.

once u install vmware then install os of ur choice and update vmware for other input devices. U can install all possible os there version sdks and play along. Installation will be simple click and go windows based wizard kind. or linux ubutu fedora redhat all can be installed and used.

if u have muticore cpu with good ram and ssd, then give good memory share to vmware.(i prefer vmware over others and good virtual memory as well, i even use external flash drives for memory boost)
thanks

New error , now how to resolve this ?
Your DHCP server is not able to assign you a valid IP address. If you are using a standalone PC and are not connecting to any network ,may manually give any private IP address to your pc.

Else if you are trying to connect to a network, try to give an Ip from that network range.

see if it helps.

Am using Hathway broadband since last 6 years.
Don't know why this issue has risen now.
I think Hathway automatically assigns IP to each PC connected to its network.

How to resolve this ?
