HOw does odin work? You type in your client id/password and it connects to a server. there are 2 server it connects to, BROADCAST UDP and TCS (pots 7013&7777). NOw the streaming quotes come in through 7013 and the other (trade info, order placement etc) goes through 7777 (or is it 7077?).
Anywasy, a proxy (a normal proxy) is operable only for browsing or A specific activity ie the open port is either 8080 or 80. so unless the proxy server OPENS the ODIN Ports, odin cannot connect to its server.
another problem is, Odin uses a DIReCT connection, there is no space/field provided to enter the proxy server data, so essentially its not designed to run off a proxy. (this is not the same as running through a LAN, which can happen provided the administrator opens the above ports on the LAN).
summary: proxy no go, or yes go with loads of trouble (and anyone can intercept, packet sniff your infomation, so its not safe either).
LAN- yes, if you had admin access or know the admin.
normal internet- well thats how it works anways. LOL.
