Smile Help On PIB please!!!

When ever I right click and sync on the Intraday chart of PIB it is giving the message that "No data to sync".

Can any fellow traders using PIB do me a favor by telling what could be the problem?

Hello

Same problem here. It is becoming a recurring problem. Data backfill is crucial. Moreover they seem to delay the delivery of data to data folder by few minutes recently.

Better to complain quickly. I already sent an e-mail. Make sure all of you send complaint quickly otherwise this people will not act quickly.

Regards

Saji

There is inbuilt setting in PIB soft, that stores the quotes in temporary memory called "Cache" when this cache fills up to certain limit, it writes data to your data folder on hard disk.

This time decreases as you increase the scrips & increases as you decrease the scrips, because more scrips, cache fills up quickly.
When market activity is low, there are lesser ticks, cache fills up late, writing gap increases.
If you synch any chart in market hours, data is fetched heavily so it writes the data in folder immediately.
Indiabulls can change this setting only with new version of PIB.

If you force PIB to write data earlier, it'll disturb it's essential function of giving live quotes. May cause crash also. so beware.

BTW : Today is another case as it some server side problem

I wanted to do the same thing but it told "No data to sync"!!!

Could be some server problem!!! They had reported that some "number" wont be displayed due to server problem! May be an upgrade is happening at their end!

Dont think so!!! Quotes are live and matches NEAT!!!

Confirmed from a fellow "BROKER" of another firm!

It is the writing to harddisk that is delayed!

Post Re: Help On PIB please!!!

As it was my first day with PIB, I was at one local share trading firm(my neighbor supplies tea there!!! ) He arranged a visit for me and I saw the NEAT there! I plugged my laptop and through my GPRS(CV knows the speed!!! Never did any file transfers after that ) connection I logged into PIB.

When I watch price change at NEAT, i looked at PIB and found the same updating here in just a second!!!

I confirm this dear friend!!!

Dont know whether instant update is a privilege given to me because of my snail connection!!!

***** cash data is 0 delayed, sometimes a second earlier than PIB itself.

But you have to know, how to get it that fast.
By just logging in, it's 3 - 4 seconds delayed. Few more tricks it's 0 delayed.
