I had access to his chat logs through a friend of mine who was using their service ( he now trades independently w/o ne support quite successfully). Mostly trend trades with NF and breakouts with Options. This was more than a year ago.He seemed well read and had simple set of rules to trigger in and out of positions.Nothing new but most noobs wont have a clue about it no matter how simple it was.

Abt STs, I know one personally who trades US Index Futures. The guy is mind-blowing and makes 20-40 K US$ on average per day. The amazing thing is he trades totally intutively with barrage of systems to keep track of every aspect of the markets he is trading. The depressing part about him is that he has been trading 25 years and is almost 50 years old, so its not a fairy tale story either.

Going through the course description is giving me a sense of perpetual deja vu. Linda, Lebeau, Paesavento, Sperandeo, Natenberg, Tharp all at one place!

Also lot of grammatical errors in the flash ads

Hi
I attended some of the workshops from Deepak Mohani, Vasanth Mande (Poona). After all these workshops I didn't get any knowledge. I have been reading trading books to improve my trading knowledge and implementation of the techniques which described in those books. Can anyone please help me that the workshop is worth do that? If any of the person in this forum has undergone this workshop please let us know the insight of the Ashwani gujral's workshop!

Regards
Sreeny

Didnt I tell you he was well read

Actually everything in that course can be pointed to some book or the other, absolutely nothing original in there. But then for 45 thousand rupees you cant expect anyone to give away their secrets ( I dont think he has any though ), quid pro quo.

Hey CV,

U can be very mean in a very likeable sort of way, a way I prescribe to myself. Call a spade a spade! What I like here on the forum is the clarity of some of the masters here. Don't post much as I am fighting my existential blues still. And trying to cajole myself (about the fact) that life is still actually fun! (It is fun, and you know how I write between line, or do you not)?

Do you mark some of this post on to AG's site? U should. No original thinkers remaining in the world and we all want someone to guide us through life. No one wants to live dangerously anymore. . But pointers do help when the giver and the taker are both not sleep walking. I am taking my first tentative steps and enjoying learning something fresh and new again.

I was in splits regarding the well read part! Regurgitation is good, and this is what we are taught to do in school and eventually put it on sheets to get measely marks. Give the poor man a break. It takes two to tango.

regards Jayesh

Since I initiated this thread, I guess I should also keep on writing tit bits
Hey Jayesh, are you as good at stocks as you seem to be in writing few liners. I see that people go to the extent of calling these analysts cheats, etc. I don't like SRK but the the fact is many Indians love him. At least, AG has no need to hang here with us. Said that, I feel AG, Rajat Bose and Sukhani are good. At least, they stand too tall among the trading community.

Dear Greendesert,

When I said give the man a break, I meant AG. My take on your query addressed to me.

The guys on Traderji, and the ladies are here of their own volition. Then they do not charge. In old India, a Guru was not supposed to charge. But that was old India. They share whatever little or more they have because of whatever compulsions they have. I hope that they are all above the board and not to send you up the wrong tree and download stocks they carry on to what you have taken positions on.

People expect value in return when they pay Rs. 45000 and being a DIY'er (do it yourselfer) I see that most of the time we are swindled. I started late in life into stocks and trades, and I see that the first step is the last step. The power of compounding will never accrue to me and a lot of water has flowed. When I ask a broker to advice, he advices based on his own mindset, which may not be mine. I have been in sales and marketing for a long time to know how we subtly, aggressively, manipulatively distort and try to sell things.

I think a community like Traderji with people like Murthy MSR, Karthik, CV, Agilent, SavantGarde ensure that we noobies do not get carried away by the hoopla of easy money, and end up loosing not only our shirt but maybe our lives. After watching Savants post since Oct 2006 I mustered up enough courage to enter nifty trades day before. On the first trade I lost Rs 900. My entry was wrong. On the second trade I lost Rs 5000. Both I had entered and put stop losses on. But both days I was glued to the screen. yesterday when the Nifty broke Savants second support at 3922, I saw a great opportunity and was feeling fast fingers but restrained myself saying let us watch and learn. And I was blessed to see a single position of 200,300 Niftys taking place. In the next 8 minutes the Nifty visited 3945 and retreated. Point is one could have made the difference even in a market which has gone down for the last three sessions.

I also, like yourself, asked if there could be a way to train with somebody on Amibroker and I was pointed out by some good soul, to refer to me.

I think we all are very capable, but we live in a constant fear psychosis thankfully given to us by our system and our schools. I enjoy the people at Traderji, because in the anonymity we help each other. A little bit of cynicism, a great deal of knowledge that we can do it ourselves, will take us a long way.

Teach a man to fish for instance is a good post to start and so are Traderji's own reflections.

Not to detract from your point though, there may be value in all the people you have mentioned. But it is so subjective. Maybe we are a lot of people who are not satisfied easily? I have hired enough people who have done fancy courses in computers anywhere from Rs 4000 to Rs. 40000 and still do not know anything more than what my special child has managed on his own. And Pranav can play video games like a Grand Prix driver.

Love and Peace, and a lot of smiles. Looks like I must be thawing, as I feel some sparks coming back to me since yesterday. But it was nice of you to ask for advice and let not any of the answers here detract you from your own reasons for asking. No one is chiding here, we are all opinionating, and some here may be as opinionated as AG, (PBUH as they say in the Middle East about the prophet!! But a little bit of anonymous laughter and a gleeful smile did not harm anyone. You see this is one of the reasons I dont post. A good dialog is long, and we live in fast times.

take care

Jayesh
