SBI PPF online and fund transfer

Hi all,

1. Is it possible to view the SBI PPF Account balance online?, Do I need to compulsorily have a SBI Savings account for it?
2. How to transfer amount from NON-SBI savings account to SBI PPF account using NEFT? Is this possible, if yes HOW?

Not sure if I'm 100% right. PPF is a govt a/c. so u can't see the balance unless u get the PPF passbook updated at any/ur home branch. Also, u can not transfer ppf online from other banks. it won't allow like that. I've a ppf a/c and SB a/c at at the same SBI branch, even then I had to add the PPF as a third party a/c as the CIF (not sure what it is) is different for both the a/c's. :lol:

1. Yes it is possible to view SBI PPF Account balance online. As I have an online PPF
account in SBI and I can view my PPF balance online.
2. I never trying to transfer money from NON SBI account to SBI PPF account, so I
dont know it is possible or not, but you can transfer money from your SBI savings
account to PPF account easily(online).

You can transfer from another bank sb a/c to ppf a/c as neft.
