what is the beginner level capitalization should be if trading in equities, and its futures&Options

As a beginner....don't even think about futures & options!

Start with trading a very few quantities of fundamentally strong scrips!

I guess 50k should be sufficient to start with!

Enter F&O only when you have spent a sufficient time studying the markets!

Futures should be traded with an ideal account size of greater than 4 lakhs!

with a 50K account, you can risk 1000 Rs on 1 option trade correct? i think that allows you trade in options & maybe futures too if you are allowing upto 6% of the account? and think that your system works good.
A series of 25 losses should set you back by 10 % of your account. Do a reverse working on that
i could not back-calculate.. my calculation might be wrong.. what does the number come to?

Suppose u risk 500 rs per trade, you will loose 12500 on25 trades. this 12500 should be 10% of ur account. means 125000 IF your per trade loss averages 500 rs with bkg and taxes. Tho I ammore comfy with the first mentioned figure :)

in my view ideal or u said necessary it is 10 lkh submit to broker a/c for trade and other 10 lkh rs to your bank a/c atleast we need that kind of capital for trading for living remember we don't open a tea stall off-course here we discussed about trading .

Brilliant Reply, HNI:thumb:

If are are to make a living out of trading, min amount is Rs 10 lacs. But you can start with smaller to cut yr teeth, and remember that it is NOT for living. For living you do something else.
