Accounting of trades in Excel

#1
Dear co-traders,
It would be very useful to record our intra-day, positional trades [cash or derivatives] in excel 2003, as shown below:

Headers ::
A. Date
B. Counter
C. Buy Rate
D. Quantity
E. Sell Rate
F. Quantity
G. Buy Value
H. Sell Value
I. Profit
J. Loss
K. Brokerage
L. Service Tax
M. Transaction Charges
N. Stamp Duty
O. S TT
P. Total
Q. Net Profit/Loss
R. Balance

Formulas needed :
G = C*D ; H = E*F ;
I = Sub G from H, If H>G
J = Sub H from G, if G>H ;
K = varies from broker to broker ;
L, M, N, O - as per the percentage levied;
P = Sum of K, L, M, N, O ;
Q = Sub P from I or add P to J ;
R = Sum of previous R and Q

Any other columns needed also may be added, if desired by other members.
Is there any excel done available in this forum ?
[As far as I searched, I didn't come across one]
If there is no such excel, can anyone develop one for use of everyone?

I tried to make one like you said. But I couldn't...

If your no. of trades is very low (like one or two trades a day). Then you can make one excel and make the entry manually. If the no. of trades is high, its very hard...

Assume, you take the data from your trade book and pasting it in the excel. Your buy trade and the corresponding trade will be next to next (not as you wanted to be). Since our market accepts odd lot, your order may be executed in pieces and corresponding may be traded all at one. So bringing the pieces and clubbing them with its corresponding trade seems to be hard (at least for me).

I haven't come across any excel or software. I have heard angel provides some software for their clients. May be that will be helpful.

This isn't really tough, just open excel and enter the above details.

Dear Rajesh,

I'm not well versed in computer, leave alone Excel. However I tried to read some articles on net and tried to create this in Excel. I'm getting more confused only in feeding formulas. That's why I asked in this forum.

Anyhow, Thanks for your response.
