Hi.. I am Santosh a short term Investor,
I need some help here (May be silly one), I am trading on short term basis from past one year, and hardly lost any money while doing that reason all fundamentally good stocks, Now recently i tried day trading now iam running with a very small Loss of three figures, that is due to taking margin on my investments. What i want to know from you is If i use the margin for intraday trading on my investment and fail to close the day and take the same as delivery, weather my stock on which ive taken margin will also be sold automatically including the stock which i have bought on the margin? Hope you know what my problem is! Help Me please! Regards Santosh |

I am not sure what you are talking about. I never did margin trading. But from my understanding no serious trader does margin trading if that stock has FnO.
Margin trading can be quite painful when you put down so much brokerage and having to exit trade quickly. Try FnO. |

once you have converted shares in margin trading to delivery, you have to make cash payout for all the shares converted to delivery and the shares will be credited to your demat a/c and you are free sell them whenever you choose.
those shares you did not squreoff and converted to delivery will be squared off offline before the market closes. Last edited by visagar; 23rd September 2007 at 01:56 PM. |
