Titanium might have been better ... strong but light (Surely you don't want to get weighed down ... literally ... with heavy balls )

Nobody knows better than me, what happens if we don't use stop loss and believe in their own convictions, if they don't SL currently by choice, eventually their experience will force them to

hi members,

Nice to be on this forum, the first after a lot of deliberation. Thanks for your views on SL.
Still yet to master the art of SL despite losses. Beware most of the time in volatile markets your SL orders will get triggered and then the price actually moves in your favor. I think you should reveal your SL because there is a lot manipulation or hungry foxes waiting to hit your SL. Kep the SL figure in your mind and take the call on the moment of trading.

Hope to be contributing my experiences. Take care Guys/ gals!

well guys,
Not Keeping stop loss is really a Smart traders choice, but not a normal day trader's.
I am not a smart trader, even though I never kept stop losses, which led me to lose lot of hard earned money.Even then Now I do not keep stop losses and trying to become smart.

If you can judge by the International and National Market sentiments the current trend of a particular stock then there is no need to think of Stop Loss.

Judgements can go wromg, STOP LOSS is the best choice. It is not Smart
Traders who DONOT use stop loss but brave ones and may be one can term them foolhardy traders. A stop loss is a must be it by way of actual stop loss or by way of hedging ones position.

The little that I read on the NET :

A money management system of investing in which the dollar values of investments continually increase after losses, or the position size increases with lowering portfolio size.

This is a very risky method of investing. The main idea behind the Martingale system is that statistically you cannot lose all the time, and therefore you should increase the amount allocated in investments--even if they are declining in value--in anticipation of a future increase.

The Martingale system is commonly compared to betting in a casino. When a gambler using this method loses, he or she doubles his or her bet. By repeatedly doubling the bet when he or she loses, the gambler will (in theory) eventually even out with a win. Of course, this is assuming the gambler has an unlimited supply of money to bet with.
