Divident for Stocks

Hi,

I have Demat/Trading account with ICICI Direct.

I have a question regarding dividents credited for the various stocks I have in my account.

I thought whenever there is a divident announced, it will be automatically creidted into my account.

Is it requreied to check for credit of dividents in my bank account..?
