If U don't have enough equity, don't try it. I rather put in funds or other vehicles to increase Ur equity, enough to start playing around. Build the equity by contributing on a monthly basis. Until then, do paper trading on serious stocks. |

I bought these 2 stocks on March 21 2006 PXJ and IYM. I've been using ATR (average True Range) 14X2 as my stops.

I thought NOIDATOLL moved up about a week ago. It started moving from 48 something on 20th April. It hit 64 on 26th April and has been dropping since then. It was trading flat till 20th March when it broke out and its 50 EMA started trending up. I entered on 20th April at 48.40 and sold 50% at 64 on 26th April. I am still holding the balance but looking into the behaviour in the last few days, was planning to exit. So tell me what makes you feel that there is still life in the stock. A chart explaining your reading would be lovely. Besides this what is the setup for the others? Thanks and regards |

Correction............................... I am a newbie to this field, but I think, which may not be right and I am giving my opinion to get some idea from you. Earlier, correction would occur or stay during 1-2 or 2-3 months period, where the sensex would go down by say 200-300 points. Now, these few days we have seen lot of volatility. Somedays the sensex would go down by 100-200-300-490 points. Till here I am right. Isnt it? Then cant we say that this was a correction? Is it necessary for Correction to usually take a period of 1-2 or 2-3 months? Cant it occur during a single day? Senior Member...and others too....please comment on this.... Have a nice day JohnBest |

Correction:
A loss of 7 to 10% can be regarded as correction. This can happen in 5 to 10 days. There after, the market or stock can continue to lose points or start a new trend. From our point of view, we need to avoid new positions, take profits and trail stops for existing positions. We just need to differentiate between normal profit taking verses sell off. PXJ, EWJ U.S stocks? What about them? Navin --- Lot of info is there in the thread. Books, Website etc. There is link for books on website. Start with a book. Give Urself 6 months to 1 year to get hang of it. Kuldeep49 --- I have the chart attached. Other setups, they are too many. I believe U guys already got hang of this stuff. Don't U? We are already in 320 posts now. Now and then, I will provide exclusive setup using chart. Its long time I put a disclaimer. Please take any suggestions of stocks at Ur own risk. I am just coming up with stocks that have the high probability of making U money. ragh_ash --- Thanks for the comments. Last edited by vvonteru; 6th May 2006 at 08:54 PM. |
