option trading

hello gud evening to all experts and senior members,

i am new to this option trading. upto now i earned in cash market. i have little knowledge on options. please clarify me a simple doubt.

i already have 100 shares of a company RIL in my demat account from EQUITY MARKET.

now if i buy a put option for RIL and on due date i can transfer shares that are already held in EQUITY or i have to buy shares of RIL in DERIVATE MARKET to execute put option.

pls help me in this issue

I derivative market the settlement is on cash basis only hence you have sell ur put option /buy as the case may be

"european call and put options expire on every last thursday of month" right? yes

then here is my doubt that it can be exercised throughout the day or morning time or at the end of the day???
