-ve oi in options

in india , index options are european type of options so we can not
exercise them before expiry date but as i can see in the f&o
daily bhavcopy provided by nse,oi sometimes are negative.
when we can not exercise an option ,how could oi go negative ?

how would a contract will be squared-off when you can not exercise it before
expiry date.

An option once bought can always be sold, not mandetory to wait till expiry.

etc.
Its very dangerous to trade options without basics.
European options can not exercise before expiry and American could be,
exercise mean after market shutdown you can put it to exercise if your broker allow you to do so (all good broker do so...) mean that if any buyer/seller in queue, they will sell at fair value of In the money (ITM) options
as exercises will not pay you TIME VALUE...............MIND IT
