Since the option is being sold, the max profit is limited to $2.10 minus commissions. Yup, Agilent, you sure are right about the double counting.
If the stock remains at $17.12 and gets exercised, then the stock will be sold at $17.12, for a total profit of $2.1 - $0.38 = $1.72.

Agilent and Ivan.

Thanks for setting me straight.

As far as the "resistance" slip, I had been looking at RMBS and had "resistance" on my mind.

Thanks again.

Thanks... and by the way, the premium for 17.5 March Put has moved up to 2.45/2.65.

Sure you are more tempted now ( or confused ?)

Cheers

Agilent,

A little confused. Looks like they're turning in good news on their earnings report this morning.

Might be a good day to get in.

Agilent,
Hate to be a downer, but I am really just in the learning mode right now...so, no play on VRX.
I screen stocks to look for near or in the money puts with close to or better than 10% premium whose fundamentals seem to be moving in a positive direction with a few sound technicals.
Nothing real professional. I'd like to hear any suggestions on other things to look for if you've got some things you like.
