I know this is a perennial question but in the absence of any good intra site search engine would like to pose this query in a systematic manner. Essentially looking for experience based answers. Please don't copy paste the brokerage charges and drown us with numbers.
To arrive at a good answer you may use the following parameters (excel attached)
1. Brokerage ( high, low, ok)
2. Speed of execution ( your opinion -fast, sleepy)
3. Accuracy ( no mistakes in accounting etc.)
4. Speed of settlement (T+1, T+2 etc.)
5. Customer Care ( enthusiastic and quick response OR devil may care attitude)
6. Backward Integration with Bank/Banks (one, many, none)
7. Charting software (superior/dud/non-existent)
The Final answer may be in terms of a Single Rank for intraday trading and inter-day trading.
Example
Intraday trading:
Rank 1- ICICIDirect
Rank 2- Sharekhan etc.
Inter day trading:
Rank 1- ICICIDirect
Rank 2- Sharekhan etc.
Please don't rank any broker who seems ineffective.
