Trading Options in India

Hi All,

I am an seasoned option trader

Does india options market offer the following kind of stratergies:

long Vertical call spread
Short Veritcal call spread
Calender spread
Diagnol spread
Covered Calls
Straddle
Strangle etc
last but not least Covered Calls

Also is interactive brokers good

All these should be available here. The problem in India is that Options, rather the stock options are still very very very illiquid. When the current month Stock options have no liquidity what to talk about near month and far month.
Index options are very liquid but more so in the current month. As you go to next month or month thereafter the "spread" increases!!!
We have only current month,next month and 3rd month options i.e. at present we have April may and June options available to trade!!
In Index options we do have contracts for Sep 2010, Dec2010, Mar 2011, Jun 2011, Dec 2011, Jun 2012, Dec2012 and Jun2013.

There's pretty iliquid but better to buy in the money nifty call spreads or short put spreads.
What about reviews of interactive brokers

Most sub brokers aren't very much aware about options as its considered to be very complex plus the rewards are pretty less compared to futures. Hence most of them don't have any option tips/"calls".

Prasham, he is talking about a brokerage house : Interactive Brokers and not Brokers interacting with clients about options!!
