I took a similar challenge myself in 2009. The motivation was to prove to myself and encourage my brother into investing.
Between July 2009 and Dec 2009 (5 months only), I had doubled the account. Good luck in your quest, I know it is an achievable target. |

I experienced the importance of 85% factor in my trading journey. I would alongwith many members of this forum surely be interested to learn your way of tackling this tricky 85% factor. Thatz because your tackling is 100% market tested. |

Hi!
When I was reading a thread here in this forum, someone posted link of this thread and said that you made 100% in 15-20 days. After reading the earlier one, I started reading 100% profit in 6 months...! I felt its possible. Since I know the climax (i.e., goal achieved in 15-20 days), I was just reading as if I know the entire story. But you put me in the edge of the seat when you crossed 89 grand on 8th trading day. You were just 11 grand away from your goal, this could be achieved in a day or two. As I said, I know the story that you made it in 15-20 days only 8 days were gone there are 7 days to go to reach the climax. I started thinking you lost in the coming days. But surprisingly you made it in 9th trading day and done with it. For me it was a normal journey at the starting but towards the end it was roller-coaster journey. I felt this is possible but not in 9 trading days. You were outstanding. ![]() CONGRATULATIONS MAN ![]() ![]() Many can do trades in quick frequent intervals even faster than you, but I don't think anybody can post their trading order and do their trading simultaneously. Your key speed should be faster than many... Many of the terms you said, I didn't understood. But that ain't brought down the interest in reading your thread. Do you care to expand/explain those short forms. I don't recall all of 'em. But I am sure you do. Two things I could recall... AFL, TF Linkon or someone else who understood and traveled along with him in his journey to 100% profit in 6 months...! can do explain the short forms in this thread. Take care man... AFL = Amibroker Formula Languge
TF = Timeframe.. In my view, what linkon has done in this thread was a sprint run (100m run). He had a target, a time duration and strategy to crack it.. and he proved that. He fully deserve the credit for this. But trading is not sprint run, but it is marathon run(42 km). I am not sure, if this level of performance is sustainable over a long period, on continuous basis. Hope linkon is still getting similar result. I am posting my views to set the expectations of other readers that don't just read the trader log and get an impression that it can be done easily in 15 days. This thread nowhere reflects the amount of effort that linkon would have spent beyond market hours to hone his skills. Trade log here is just a tip of iceberg. Successful trading is lot more then that.. so plz don't ignore that part. If you search TJ for his posts, he has already mentioned in other places about the effort and pain that he has gone through. Linkon - plz excuse me if I have said anything that should not be part of this thread. Happy Trading. Last edited by AW10; 21st April 2010 at 06:26 PM. |

Everybody wanna run 100m rather than marathon. Since 100m is short and anybody could run. But to excel in it needs to run 100's of kilometers. It seems easy actually it ain't. Obviously, participants for marathon are higher than 100m sprint run. But, most of 'em go busted after few meters to kilometers. I truly agree how many 1000's of kilometers linkon would have ran before trying this sprint run. Its obvious that the new traders (like me) got the tendency to dream about making fortune at ease. Its good you have emphasized on the pain he has borne while honing his skills. You could have made that point bold. If you feel so, please make it bold.
