Hello everybody happy diwali. I read an article on hdfc warrants ,its a kind of a long term warrants of 3 yrs , same working like options. My question is can an individual investor opt for this kind of investment or it is for qualified institutional investors. For your reference here is the link http://www.moneycontrol.com/news/market-outlook/buy-hdfc-warrants3-yr-horizon-hsbc-invst-sec_416732.html
I did see a Quote for these warrants in NSE .Its quoting around Rs 475 now and the minimum quantity to buy is 370 . You can buy these and hold in Demat.

hello Krishna and Naresh thanks for your reply, but after reading the document provided by Krishna ,it seems its only for QIB's and not individual investors..

I do think its a very good way of investing since you get the same % of bounce in warrants as in the original stock & it is available at almost 1/6th the price so effectively much higher returns than owning the stock itself only tradeoff is you are not entitiled to receive dividends. Its like a low risk call option for lloooooooog term. (3yrs)

Reliance Money might not be offering wararnts on their trading portal .I didnt even see it on India bulls . But in Rkglobal I can see the warrant and quotes for it . Talk to reliance money and they can buy offline for you

(I saw the quote for warrants in BSE but not in NSE .Not sure why . )
