PLEASE HELP...regarding brokerage calculations.

I never trade options. But after severe coaxing by RM i fell into the trap and let him make a trade on my behalf....incurred heavy loss....grave mistake i made

My account is with Indiabulls.

I bought OPTIDX 3600 NIFTY 28 May2009 PUT option :

10,000 shares @ Rs 6 and sold at Rs 5.74 avg. in INTRADAY

what would be my total loss ? what will be the brokerage ?
how to calculate brokerage on options ?

i have been slapped with Loss of RS 51,511 !!

and brokerage of Rs 40,000 (and service tax 4120)...

is it real ??

By 10,000 shares, I think you mean 200 lots.

Per lot they charge around Rs. 150 + other charges.

200 lots x Rs. 150 = Rs. 30,000/-

I think, sadly, the brokerage and other charges of Rs. 40,000 is possible. Hopefully other members can confirm.:thumb:

hi they carges rs 100 per lot both side .so rs 200 per lot + taxes

it comes near about 265 per lot so in your case

the brokerage is 265 muliply by 200(10000 shares=200lot)

tht is 53000.



never trade option with indiabulls because the RM gets 10000 as commision in your trade. try justtrade or rk global to trade options

My charges are Rs. 75 or 1% whichever is higher / per lot... how does RK Global looks... and there service/speed of execution?

I would prefer if someone could share their Contract note in options trading... I am very much in doubt about RK Global's extra charges..

Sorry to hear about your loss.Now you should think of going slow and not go in like Sehwag.You need to pick and choose and learn abt options strategies and keep smaller positions.
